Accelerator/Retarder
Retarder which retards the curing of cement or gypsum is effective for hot temperature and other purposes.
This additive is effective only with small amount of consumption, and is known to retard the curing by absorption of clinker and hydrates.
Organic acids and many kinds of organic materials are used for this purpose.
Lithium salt is known to accelerate concrete and mortar’s curing which contains large amount of alumina.
Compared to accelerators which contains chlorine, this can be used more effectively since it does not contain any component to cause steel corrosion.
PLAST RETARD PE and PLAST RETARD L is water soluble gypsum retarder.
In neutral gypsum based formulation, they work very effectively to increase working time and they can be used for both natural gypsum and chemical gypsum such as phospho-gypsum.
PLAST RETARD PE is composed of very fine particles, thus resulting in equal distribution.
It can be used for gypsum molding compounds, gypsum boards, joint filler, adhesive mortar, etc.
Its performance is best in neutral pH, and in formulations with pH > 12, its effectiveness decreases.
